Project mission

IRIDIS aims to develop a centre of expertise through the implementation of a cooperative network made up of private and public institutions, participating in acquiring the best scientific know-how and technical skills concerning the study, diagnosis and treatment of type B diabetes pathologies. The research focuses on the new drugs’ breakthrough regarding the cure and therapy of diabetic ulcers, neuropathic pain, glycaemia adjustment and diabetic retinopathy. The foreseen output implies also the development of a experimental platform for early indicators of disease’s severity.
