Project mission

The aim of Tretile project is to develop a biological treatment trail which relies on different types of microorganisms for a cost-effective management of the Digital Textile Printing (DTP) wastewater and the recovery of valuable by products to reintroduce in the manufacturing chain or to be marketed. The intent is to reduce the energy impact while producing natural prigments which can be used as natural colorants in the dyeing process, in addition to the formulation of enzymes derived from fungi which can be widely applied to different industrial sectors. In line with the circular economy concept, TRETILE means to pose the basis for a close production cycle where the waste produced is converted into raw materials.
